Cyberport x Draper Dragon Joint Accelerator (CDD-JAP)

The Cyberport x Draper Dragon Joint Accelerator (CDD-JAP) is a three-month, VC-backed accelerator built to empower Web3 and AI startups to unlock fundraising opportunities and build strategic partnerships that fuel global expansion.

Jointly powered by Cyberport — Hong Kong's government-backed innovation hub — and Draper Dragon, a leading venture capital firm specializing in the digital technology sector and a core member of the Silicon Valley's Draper Venture Network co-founded by renowned investor Tim Draper — the programme combines institutional resources with deep venture capital expertise across Asia and the United States. It is further supported by the CDD-JAP Investor Alliance, jointly established by 20 leading venture capital firms, creating a powerful investment network to accelerate founders' access to capital and expertise.

CDD-JAP offers hands-on mentorship, direct investor access, and opportunities to engage with top VCs, corporate partners, and emerging Web3 unicorns. Participants refine their products, validate business models, and navigate legal and operational setup for cross-border fundraising and partnership building — culminating in a Demo Day and investor roadshow. Selected high-potential startups may also receive follow-on investment from Draper Dragon and CDD-JAP Investor Alliance venture capital firms.

CDDJAP is a highly selective programme, accepting up to 40 startups annually across two cohorts (20 startups per cohort). The programme is divided into two phases:

Hong Kong Accelerator Camp

Phase 1: Hong Kong Accelerator Camp

  • Duration: 3 months
  • Training: 30 hours (10 sessions, 3 hours each)
  • Focus Areas:
    • Technical Support: Guidance on smart contracts, knowledge graphs, security audits, and cutting-edge solutions.
    • Legal Advisory: Navigate compliance and regulatory frameworks for Hong Kong and global markets.
    • Business Development: Refine business models and craft fundraising strategies.
    • Market Penetration: Build communities, execute PR campaigns, and develop market-entry plans.
    • Partnership Facilitation: Connect with industry leaders, investors, and ecosystem partners like DVN funds and Hong Kong's licensed digital asset exchanges.

Phase 2: Silicon Valley Startup Camp

  • Eligibility: Up to 10 top-performing teams from Phase 1 per cohort.
  • Duration: 1 week at Draper University or Boost VC Pitch Day.
  • Focus: Deep-dive training, pitch refinement, and connections with global VCs and Web3.0 ecosystem partners.
  • Note: Startups cover their own travel, accommodation, and programme fees for the Silicon Valley camp.

Who should apply Cyberport x Draper Dragon Joint Accelerator Programme?
CDDJAP will admit the companies focusing on AI and Blockchain
How long for the programme?
It will be a 3 months programme with offering 30 hours of personalized mentorship across 10 sessions, each lasting 3 hours, from 10+ world-class Web3 founders and investors with expertise in tokenomics, business models, and fundraising strategies. Support includes technical assistance, partnership facilitation, business development, and fundraising support.
Can I apply the Cyberport Accelerator Support Programme (CASP) for joining this programme?
If you are current CCMF grantee/current incubatee/Alumni within 5 years, you are eligible to apply CASP
Does the programme only allow Cyberport community companies to join?
No, it is open for public. If the company is not under Cyberport community, you could still able to apply the programme. But you can't benefit to the Cyberport Accelerator Support Programme
How can I apply the programme?
You could apply the programme through https://forms.gle/jrHViR6XuUAwAaqz7 with the non-refundable application fee HKD$1,000. Once we confirmed to admit your company to join the programme, you will need to pay HKD$35,000 for the programme fee
Will there have any follow up activities after the programme?
Selected startups from 2 cohorts will attend Draper University's intensive bootcamp (up to 3 weeks), featuring a survival week, venture-building workshops, and an investor demo day in Silicon Valley after the programme.
